The horse club was a common tool of Mongolian herders, usually made of wood or bone, with a thick shaft and a weighted end. It was carried on horseback for driving livestock, defending against wild animals, or as a weapon of self-defense. Some horse clubs were carved with decorative motifs, combining function with artistry. It played an essential role in steppe life and nomadic culture.

The buru

The buru is a traditional Mongolian throwing weapon, usually consisting of a wooden handle with a stone or metal weight attached.
